BFJ has a multi-disciplinary staff that includes urban and transportation planners, and urban designers. Following are brief profiles of BFJ's principals, senior associates, and associates:

Paul Buckhurst, ARIBA, AICP, trained as an architect before obtaining degrees in planning and urban design. With more than 30 years of experience in private practice in the U.S. and overseas, he directs BFJ's work in urban design and site planning. He has been on the faculty at the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University since 1984.

Frank Fish, FAICP, specializes in comprehensive planning, real estate development, and public approvals. He has represented more than 30 municipalities throughout the Northeast as well as major private sector clients. He is on the faculty at New York University and is a board member of the New York Planning Federation.

Georges Jacquemart, PE, AICP, has worked for more than 30 years in the field of traffic engineering and transportation planning, managing studies ranging from strategic planning assignments to detailed access, roadway, and parking design assistance. His experience includes projects in Africa, Europe, South America, and the U.S. He is on the faculty at Pratt Institute and New York University.

Melissa Kaplan-Macey, AICP, PP, has almost 10 years of professional planning experience in the public and private sectors including work on site plan reviews with the Division of Planning, Trenton, NJ.

Sarah K. Yackel, AICP, has more than 10 years of experience, specializing in environmental impact and site plan reviews. She acts as a project manager for a number of large scale mixed-use development proposals.

John West specializes in design and zoning reviews of major mixed-use developments. Previously he was Senior Vice President for design at CPC Resources, Director of Planning at Rockrose Development Corporation, and Deputy Director of the Manhattan Office at the New York City Department of City Planning.
