BFJ is preparing an update of the City’s major land use policy planning documents. This is a comprehensive planning project that will provide a roadmap for future development and redevelopment in an urban center that is poised for significant economic growth. The project includes the preparation of the City’s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) and its Master Plan of Conservation and Development, as well as an update of its zoning regulations to implement the recommendations of the Master Plan. The Master Plan will analyze Bridgeport’s land uses, zoning, historic preservation, housing, economic development, environment and open space, transportation and infrastructure, and cultural/community facilities and services. In addition, BFJ will oversee a review of the management structure of the City’s planning and economic development functions. This review will result in recommendations for streamlining these functions in support of Bridgeport’s economic development goals.
