BFJ prepared the master plan for the 1,300-acre Stonehill Village new community that is now under construction. The firm's ongoing planning and design services involve the development of detailed plans for the Village center area, to be located adjacent to the existing housing neighborhood. This area is designed to function as the social and commercial center for the community. It will accommodate retailers, restaurants, housing, and community buildings, clustered around a landscaped green. The layout ensures that the major open space areas relate to the distinctive historic barn that now serves as the recreation center for the community.
