BFJ worked with the City of Hudson to update its Local Waterfront Revitalization Program (LWRP), including preparation of a Generic Environmental Impact Statement. The LWRP provides a future land-use plan for the city’s waterfront and establishes policies for the coastal area along the Hudson River. BFJ worked with the City and the community to develop alternative waterfront land-use scenarios that include a mix of water-dependent and water-related recreation and open spaces, as well as existing industrial and residential uses. The project also included the preparation of design guidelines covering site layout, architectural character, parking, streetscape and signage. The draft LWRP was approved by the New York State Department of State’s Division of Coastal Resources in 2011.
